The length of therapy will depend on your goals, and can range from one session to several months. As part of your initial assessment, we will agree on a treatment plan that reflects your unique situation. We will estimate how long it will take to reach your goals, so that you can make a financial plan, and will assess our progress periodically.

I do not. My practice is “fee-for-service,” which means that I do not contract directly with insurance companies. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I will issue a statement that you can submit for reimbursement.
To understand your benefits, call your insurance company and ask the following:
Do you reimburse for out-of-network behavioral health services? If so, how much?
What is my deductible, and how much has been paid this year?
How many sessions are covered?
What is the process for requesting reimbursement?

I offer a limited number of low-cost slots through the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. You can visit my profiles on those sites, or contact me to ask if an Open Path slot is available. If the slots are full, you can request that your name be added to a wait list and I will contact you when I have an opening.

I work exclusively with individual adults. However, we may decide to invite family members or loved ones to your session if it makes sense as part of your treatment.

You can use my online booking site to manage your appointment schedule. Please keep in mind that cancellations should be avoided, if possible, to obtain the most benefit from psychotherapy. That said, life happens and I will do my best to accommodate scheduling changes! I recommend opting in for SMS text or email reminders to be sent well before the 24-hour no-cancellation window, so you have time to think through your schedule and notify me of any changes.
It’s important to be aware that if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the session fee, which will be charged to the credit card on file.

The relationship between client and therapist is one of the biggest determinants of successful treatment. To that end, you should feel a sense of mutual understanding and warmth with the therapist you choose to work with. I recommend scheduling free consultation calls with a few different providers so that you can get a sense of who is the best fit for you.
